Section 1 - 4 marks (Target time 5 minutes)

Make a new "regular" page on the Ingot Functional Skills web site using the learner menu option on the front page (2 marks)

Section 2 - 10 marks (Target time 15 minutes)

Starting at the top of your page make a table with 4 columns and 10 rows to present a simple plan in the form of an ordered list of tasks. (4 marks)

Section 3 - 18 Marks (Target time 25 minutes)

INsafety need a new logo, a capital letter S in a circle.

Use the internet to find the most popular colour to use for the logo. Write the name of the colour into your web page and say where you got the information (2 marks)

Design a version of a simple logo, a capital S in a circle, in the most popular colour. Use a file format suitable for download to many different types of computer. This version might be used on posters where the image might need to be very large. Name this file V followed by your candidate id eg V12345 (2 marks)

Section 4 - 15 Marks (Target time 20 minutes)

Copy the table above together with its data and layout and present it in a spreadsheet using the spreadsheet formatting tools to make titles and headings stand out, provide borders for the cells. Adjust the staff role column widths to 2 cm.

Section 5 - 13 Marks (Target time 20 minutes)

INsafety want to be confident you understand some things about computer security.

Make a title in Heading 2 style "Reducing the virus threat ". (2 marks)

Combine this graphic image with the text on your web page so that the image is scaled to 150 pixels wide, aligned to the left and text flows around the image with a 5 pixel spacing above below and to the right of the image.

Section 6 - 15 marks (Target time 20 minutes)

Your boss wants a summary and an evaluation report of your work.

Under the title "summary", combine information you found related to designing the logo with an image of the logo itself. Combine this with a table summarising the staffing, travel and overall costs of the product launch and comment on costs in relation to the budget. Finally, write some guidance for users about the danger of viruses and find a video related to Internet Safety and embed it in your page. (Hint: search "Schooltube")
