I have now learnt from an IT teacher how to put screenshots onto my blogs in the proper way. So on this blog are the two screenshots I put on a word document, but this I have attached them onto the blog properly, as shown below.

This screenshot is of the top of my rota page, on my website:

My Evaluation

I have now completed my website and am very pleased with the results, as I think it is looks professional but still attractive. One of the ways in which I have achieved this is by using the same fonts throughout the website. I have used black, grey and white as my font colours as this stands out on the bright background, so it is easy for the public to read. I have also stuck to similar fonts by choosing alike fonts from Piczo’s created fonts, such as: Shellhead and Zene Gene. I have also used the same colour background on every page, this makes it seem as if all pages are joined together neatly. I choose blue because it is a bright colour, and instantly makes the website appealing. I have used the logo I created on the home page, so when people come onto the site they are aware of what the site is about. This again makes it easier for the public to understand the website. All of these help to give my website a professional and modern look, which is still eye-catching.

I have now created both of these new pages. Once again I have used blue backgrounds to match with the style of the website. The enter page is inviting and eye-catching to encourage people to enter the site. The extra information page is to help people find a way to get more information about both the youth group and the church itself. So on the page I inserted a link to the church website. On this website there is an opportunity for people to contact workers of the church. This way I am only providing the public with information that is already open to them already.

I just need to add finishing touches to my website now, to complete the professional but attractive style I am aiming for. I hope it will be completed in the half hour or so.

Now I have put it onto the page, but it doesn’t look very nice so I need to change the font size, colour etc. to make it look more attractive. I also think I have not got enough pages on my website so I am adding an enter page and a page which gives extra information, such as a link to the church website that the youth group belong to.

This morning I researched about the youth group and wrote a draft of my introduction in word. I have attached this document to the blog, so you can view it. When I was researching I found out when the youth group meet and when it was established, this helped me to write my introduction. I am pleased I researched this, because otherwise I may have given out wrong information to the public, and this would be very bad. Next I need to write it up on the introduction page of my website. I will do this by the end of the day.

Before I enter the introduction on to the introduction page, I will need to do some more research on the youth group. This is so that I give out correct information, and don’t mislead people. I will ask members/leaders of the youth group questions to get the information I need for my website.

Attached is some screenshots of the rota page on my website.

This morning I finished my textbox and rota page. I used a blue background, so it would match with the home page, making the whole site look professional. This means I am now over half way through my project, and things are going smoothly. I am now beginning to understand Piczo more, and am using more of its features such as its word art feature. I have to create my piczo pages on my family computer, because my own personal laptop, for some reason, does not always work with Piczo and slows up my prgress. Now I use the computer, I can work a lot quicker and am pleased that i have resolved this issue. I still haven’t designed and made my introduction page, I need to get a move on with this, so this is my main aim for today. I will do it this afternoon.

Today I have completed my home page and made a textbox on Piczo containing the rota for the youth group to use. I inserted the textbox on a blank page, which I have linked to the home page. I am pleased with my progress so far; however I think I should work a bit faster so that it will be finished sooner. I will now complete my rota page, and edit the introduction page so that is it not just a blank page, like at the moment.

Attached is the logo I made on paint, this is what it looked like before I edited it on the Piczo website.

I has some difficulties posting my most recent blog, as on the computer I was on it looked like the blog had not been posted, even though I had submitted it. I am now on another computer a few days later, and the blog is there. However, I accidently posted the same blog twice, so today I deleted the second copy of it. I am also continuing to create my website on Piczo.

I have now designed and created a logo for my website. I created it on paint. I then inserted it onto the home page of my website. Using Piczo I could edit the logo I inserted on the home page. I edited it to make it look cartoony. I think this feature on Piczo made my logo more original and creative.
