Gold INGOTS 61105 5150 - My complete Presentation

This is my complete presentation.

It has not turned out as well as I had anticipated as most or my fonts and animations have been changed but it the hyperlinks still work.

Gold INGOTS 61105 5150 - Revaluation

My presentation has changed many times due to different problems so it is very different from what I had first anticipated and produced. Despite the large changes I had to make, I am happy with the outcome of my presentation and I think it has turned out quite well yet very different from what I originally planned.

My first plan was to use still frames in my presentation to demonstrate each stage but I was able to us short video clips instead which turned out well and improved the quality of my presentation. I followed through with the plan of having short video clips within my presentation but it made the file far to big to link to my blog even after converting it into a HTML and PDF file. My only choice was to put my presentation onto a CD so I can been seen by my assessor and sent off to examiners if necessary.

I have now finished uploading all of my videos onto YouTube and I have linked them to my presentation. I found it quite easy to upload the videos and link them. I have tested each of the hyperlinks and they work successfully. Because I have the hyperlinks I have removed the videos from my presentation and it is now small enough to link to a blog.

Gold INGOTS 61105 5150 - Problem once again

I thought I have solved all the problems with my presentation being unable to link to my blog etc, but it turns out that things have gotten a lot worse. Even after I burnt my presentation onto a CD it still doesn’t run properly. All of my animation has been wiped off and the videos will not play.

I have been to see the ICT technicians in my school as well as my ICT teacher and it looks like my only option now is to up load my videos on YouTube and replace the video clips with hyperlinks.

This will drastically reduce the size of my presentation and will enable me to link it to my blog (hopefully) with out any problems.

Gold INGOTS 61105 5150 – Evaluation

I am very happy with the outcome of my presentation and I think it has turned out better than I had anticipated. I had originally planned on using still frames in my presentation but I was able to us short video clips instead which turned out well and improved the quality of my presentation. I originally planned on creating a website on piczo or something along those lines but I eventually chose to use Windows power point because it is a software I am familiar with. I was able to accomplish my goal using Windows power point and it was appropriate for what I wanted to accomplish. I was able to successfully add animation and video clips to my presentation which I may not have been able to do if I had used piczo which I am unfamiliar with.

Gold INGOTS 61105 5150 – I've finished

I have finally completed my presentation on How to Make Pancakes and I initially intended on linking it to this blog but my presentation is far too large to link, even after converting it to a HTML and a PDF file. My options were to either cut down the size of my presentation which I did not want to do because this would resort in removing my video clips or removing necessary information, or to convert my presentation into another format, (e.g. pasting the information onto a piczo site or turning it into a “movie” and pasting it on YouTube). I didn’t want to do this either because it would take quiet a lot of time making me miss my deadline and if I put the information on a piczo site it would mean I would lose all of my animations.

Gold INGOTS 61105 5150 - Final Touches

I have been adding a few minor changes to my presentation to develop it further. I applied the following points which I got from the National Occupational Standards:

Using a wide range of editing techniques appropriately for more complex presentations, such as:

o Inserting objects and other resources

o Resizing images

o Changing the position or orientation of other objects.

I applied more or less all of these points to my presentation. I have also now added hyperlinks to my presentation to make it even easier to use.

Gold INGOTS 61105 5150 - Problem SOLVED!

I previously had a problem with putting screen shots onto my blogs as open images which I can now achieve. My problem was that I had not saved the screen shots as Jpeg files so I re-took the screen shots and used Adobe Photoshop CS2 to open the file and save it as a Jpeg file. This enabled me to successfully paste the image.

Gold INGOTS 61105 5150 - Progress

I have almost completed my presentation and I’m using the tips from the National Occupational Standard on presentations to proof read my presentation and make sure it is easy to understand and follow. To test this out I previewed a few slides to some friends and asked their opinions on how easy and useful they found the presentation to read and understand. I took on board all of their comments and changed necessary elements of my presentation.

During the process of making my presentation I initially faced a few problems but I have been able to sort them all out, improve my presentation and now it’s coming together well.

Gold INGOTS 61105 5150 - Problem!

I have successfully connected links to screen shots in my other blogs but I am unable to make my screen shot appear on my blogs as visual images. I have been following the correct procedures and tried everything to get it to work but it still always come up as a red X in a box. I am still trying to resolve this problem, so I don't lose marks for it. I have sent an email to the INGOTs people and still have no reply but hopefully they will resolve the problem.
