New Qualifications

The Regulators have recently agreed two new courses. ICT Open Sytems, Enterprise and Business Growth at Level 1 and Level 2. We will refer to these as the Enterprise INGOTs. The Enterprise INGOTS accredit skills and knowledge in enterprise with particular reference to working and setting up small businesses including social enterprises. There is more detail towards the end of the handbook. To offer these new certificates your centre must be either a Silver or a Gold Academy/Centre. The Silver Enterprise INGOT is essentially the existing Silver INGOT with two additional units taking it to the equivalence of a full GCSE. One of the units is theory and background knowledge and the other practical.

Candidates have to raise money for a worthwhile cause as part of their practical project. The Gold Enterprise INGOT is the Gold INGOT with two additional units providing unit progression from the Silver INGOT. There is more emphasis on team work in the Gold INGOT and some higher level concepts. More details towards the end of the Handbook.
