What Are The Different Types Of Computer Back Up...

Full Back Up: As the name implies a full back up is a back up on everything on your computer system. Your operating system, your settings, your installed software and all your files are backed up/ copied to another medium. The full back up will take long to process as it depends on the amount of data stored on your computer.

Incremental Back Up: An incremental back up process will back up only files that have changed since the most previous back up has took place. If there has been a lot of change since the recent back up performance then the time taken for all the back up files to complete will take a long time.

Differential Back Up: In contrast to the incremental back up, the differential back up also backs up files that have been changed however, it keeps all the changes since the last full back up too.

Selective Back Up: A the name states, the selective back up is when you select specific files/data/folders on your computer that you want to be backed up.

What You Can Back Your Work Onto...

There are various mediums which are useful for backing up your computer. One medium happens to be a memory stick. Memory sticks are easy to use and can be used in any desktop as they are easy to insert. They are miniature keys that are helpful because you can attach it to your keys or around your neck so it is never out of your site and can never be lost- hopefully. Another medium is known to be a tape, also known as a floppy disk. Floppy disks can hold lots of information but can be slow when using it and may be costly for an average computer user. Apart from that, floppy disks are very useful and helpful.
