QCA Recognition
Well its taken some time but finally I heard this week from the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority that The Learning Machine Ltd has been accredited as an Awarding Body. The next step is to submit the INGOT certificates for inclusion into the National Qualifications Framework. This will take a few weeks but then we should be fully up and running.
I am due to go to South Africa in December to start an INGOT trial with the Shuttleworth Foundation and Inkululeko in the Tuxlab schools. Tomorrow I'm meeting Manfred Reiter in Germany about setting up a Comenius project to help spread INGOTs to other EU countries. I have my nephew's wending in Finland to support and probably a meeting ion Portugal in January so I don't think I'm doing very well in the carbon footprint stakes.
We have assesor training lined up for December to get everyone up to speed with the QCA quality assurance requirements and we will as usual be attending the Specialist Schools Conference. So all a bit hectic which means I can't spend too much time blogging ;-)
