Why should I log out?

When you are logged in to theIngots.org you have complete access to edit all of your work, personal information, and personal files.  If you walk away from a computer without logging out, then anybody who can get to that computer will be able to alter all of your work.  This is the significant common security risk and we have implemented an auto log out with a timer to try and reduce the risk as far as practically possible. 

How do I log out?

To log out, simply click the logout button on the right hand side of the website. You will find a box titled with your username. In  that box you will see "Logout":

Despite our best intentions we all forget sometimes to logout from a webpage when we leave the computer. To try to protect your work if you do forget, theIngots.org will automatically log you out 1 hour after you last loaded a page.

You can see how long you have left until you are logged out automatically by looking at the "Auto Logout in" box on the right hand side:


 

Troubleshooting

1. I cannot see the Auto Logout box

• Are you logged in? The Auto Logout box replaces the Community Login box when you have successfully logged in to the Community site
