OpenSUSE
OpenSUSE is an operating system based on Linux, which can be used on your computer, laptop or server. Linux is different from other operating systems because it is open source and therefore freely available to anyone. It also means it can be rewritten, and redistributed by anyone.
OpenSUSE is driven by the openSUSE Project community and sponsored by Novell.
OpenSUSE allow the community to help develop the project. The community helps bycontributing code through the OpenSUSE Build Service. They also write documents, design art work and help people on the forums.
Novell markets openSUSE as the best, easiest distribution for all users.
OpenSUSE, like other Linux distributions allows the user to select which Graphical User Interface (GUI) they want to install, when they are installing the operating system. To find our more about Graphical User Interfaces, go to the Desktop Environments page. [6]
