How to back-up your work

you can back-up your work by using  memory stick, hardrive or any other place where you can store your work. the way to do this is by saving the work once to the computer and once to the place of back-up. It is wise to keep your back-up either in a different room or even a different building because if it is near the computer and there is a fire your back-up copies will also be destroyed so you won't have a back-up copy.

anything that you can't get back and is very important.

the importance of back-up is that it keeps all of your work in 2 places and if 1 goes wrong you always have a spare copy. listed below are things you can use to back your work up and the advantages and disadvantages of each one;

memory stick- advantages of this is that it can hold a lot of data at one time so you can always have a spare copy. 

disadvantages are that they can get lost easily because they are quite small. they are also easy to break because of how small they are.

online storage- advantages of this is that you can acess it from anywhere that has an internet connection.

disadvantages are that you are releying on another person and if they go bankrupt you have lost you back-up copy.

printouts- advantages of this is that you can carry them with you wherever you go so they are safely with you.

disadvantages - they can be easily ripped ortorn because they are fragile.

recordable CD/DVD - Advantages are that they are easy to use and can store a lot of things.
