Audacity has a tab on their website called Get Involved where people can donate to the project. Audacity also gets their money from advertisements on their webpage and by the Audacity Store where you can purchase Audacity merchandise such as t-shirts. Money made helps Audacity with bandwidth and web hosting, development tools and audio hardware. Also, Audacity wants to raise enough money so they can hire a full-time developer.
