Groups

Learners are organised into teaching groups. On this page you see all the teaching groups associated with your account. If you want to create or edit teaching groups (add learners, rename groups, etc.) go to the Admin section. If you do not see an "Admin" link on the main bar, you must speak with the principal assessor for your school. There are four kinds of awards:

• INGOT 1.0 Units are the original INGOT units accredited by Ofqual until August 2010.

• INGOT 2.0 ITQ Units are units for the new ITQ qualification. This is the UK National Vocational Qualification for IT Users with a specific emphasis on open systems and web based technologies.

• P Scale Units are for certificates based on the criteria developed by QCDA for monitoring progress in Special Schools and for learners with Special Educational Needs.

• Centre Award Units are optional units that can be awarded at the discretion of Assessors as additional rewards.

When you select a unit and a group, the names of the group members are displayed down the left of the page. The first time the save button is activated, a table is set up linking each learner with this particular unit and its assessment criteria. It is important to view and save each unit that the group will be taking because the evidence gathering system linked to the learning site uses these links so that the learner can see a list of the units they have been assigned to in their account on the learning site.
