Levels and their meaning
Level 1 qualifications include GCSE grades D-G and Vocational Qualifications at Level 1.
Level 2 qualifications include GCSE grades A*-C and Vocational Qualifications at Level 2.
The core programme consists of formally regulated qualifications that have been awarded through external Awarding Organisations.
The honours programme is designed to broaden experience. Elements can be externally or internally validated. External validation gets a higher value.
The skills passport is designed to provide employability skills that are not guaranteed to be assessed as part of traditional academic qualifications.
