Example Test for Level 1 and 2 certificate

For this test you need to have an account on the INGOT community site and your candidate number ready. You have 45 minutes from the time that you create your page to complete the tasks and answer the questions.

Tasks

  1. Log on to the INGOT community site.
  2. Create a "Regular Page".
  3. Give the page a title using your user id number and Test L1-2 (eg Candidate number 99875 TestL1-2)
  4. Save the page (this records the time with your page and you have 45 minutes from the time the page is first saved for the rest of the test. Remember to save work regularly)

  5. Download the image at http://the ingots.org/community/image1 to your computer and then upload it to your user area on the INGOT community site.

  6. Format the picture with a 5 pixel space around it to the top left hand side of your newly created page

    7. (2 marks)

  7. Use an internet search to find some text about the character whose name is Wilber, the mascot of the GIMP project
  8. Make a side heading using Heading Format 2 with the name Wilber

    9. (1 mark)

  9. Combine the heading, picture and text to make a neat short presentation about Wilber

    10. (2 marks)

  10. Make a link from your heading to the page where you found the text about Wilber

    11. (2 marks)
