What are Virus?

Virus are like the ones that you can catch which make you ill. like this the computer can get ill too. Like you take medicine to get rid of them the computer can take medicine as well they are just called anti- virus programs. Viruses make your computer to shut down or break down and and all the work you had on it would be lost.

How do you get them and what do they do?

You can get them in emails, games and pop- ups. In emails you can get them by opening attachments. You wouldn't be able to see at first but after 24 hours your computer goes all funny and it won't listen to you anymore.

How can you avoid getting them?

By not going on games website too much for example- Miniclip. Miniclip gives you 30 viruses every time you go on to that  website also by not clicking on POP-Ups. By doing this you avoid the risk of your computer running very slow and stop responding.

How can you get rid of them and what are the downsides?

By using anti-virus soft wares they help with controlling the amount of viruses you have on your computer and they help with keeping your work safe.  The downsides to theses are they can take up a long time to check all your files and sometimes don't delete them all. They are also very expensive but you will need them if you don't want to have to replace all your work again from scratch.
