Some of our Level 2 qualifications are C-A*, but the grades are the same as P-D*.

Note: NAACE/TLM Open Systems Computing qualifications at Level 1 and 2 are eligible for league table points in 2016, but not 2017. This is because the DfE has ruled that they are very similar in content to the new GCSE specification for computer science. If you are interested in using the TLM qualifications to support programming projects, this can be still done using the IT User Skills in Open Systems and Enterprise qualification by choosing a programming unit in the optional pool. This will still enable schools to meet the requirements of the KS4 national curriculum programme of study using a more practical and technical route than GCSE Computer Science and includes far more flexibility in the optional complementary IT user skills. We will be maintaining the Open Systems Computing Qualifications in partnership with NAACE without league table points because in KS3 they can provide complementary support with the baseline testing, helping solve the KS3 post-levels assessment issue and providing an accelerated route to better grades in GCSE computer science for those that choose that route. Customers that are on our subscription model will have  the option to provide the Open Systems Computing qualification free to students apart from the level 2 examination which will cost £6 per candidate to take on line (valid 02/15). Starting in Y7 it is entirely feasible for pupils to provide the evidence for both IT User and Computing  Qualifications and we want to put the fewest barriers in the way for this to happen.
