Unit 1, Cleaning Services (2 credits)

1. Clean and disinfect, applying relevant techniques, tools and materials.

1.1 I can use a range of cleaning materials effectively.

1.2 I can use hand tools for cleaning.

1.3 I can operate different types of cleaning machines (eg vacuum cleaner, polishers).

1.4 I can match cleaning techniques to the particular environment.

1.5 I can set up and use ladders and scaffolding, safely.

1.6 I can empty, clean and prepare litter bins and ashtrays.

1.7 I can disinfect areas that need it.

1.8 I can collect, sort and manage different types of waste.

Unit 2, Cleaning Services Work Managment (2 credits)

1. Understand, plan, organise and communicate work.

1.1 I can understand and interpret work instructions and work schedules

1.2 I can check and take note of inventory levels of cleaning materials, tools, equipment and products

1.3 I can communicate, report, and provide feedback to clients

1.4 I can manage and monitor my own work

1.5 I can inspect the progress and quality of cleaning operations at various locations

1.6 I can work with confidential information and personal items

1.7 I can plan my work, including structuring it in time, space, and assigning priority

1.8 I can react and deal with problems which arise during my work

Unit 3, Cleaning Safety (2 credits)

1. Work safely with efficiency and precision

1.1 I can work as part of a team and contribute to safe outcomes

1.2 I can work independently and safely

1.3 I can contribute to promoting a safe working environment

1.4 I can perform my duties and tasks with the required precision

1.5 I can be punctual and precise with regard to rules, procedures and deadlines
