Impact
- INGOT web site has a high page rank for the size of the project. It is the same as the rank of the following web sites: http://www.ecotec.com/ and http://www.leonardo.org.uk/. A google Search on the word INGOT usually puts the site in the top 2 on the search list.
- Since January 2010 there have been 50,000 individual visitors to the site and 3 million hits. There are currently nearly 18,000 pages on the site mostly user generated.
- Each partner has been trained to use the Drupal content management system and is now capable of contributing not only to the INGOT web site but also to the language translation support for the Drupal Open Source community.
- Each partner has a better understanding of Bulgarian Beer!
- Each partner has a far better understanding of the European Qualifications Framework and how it applies in their national system.
- Each partner has increased their understanding of Web based technologies and their potential to make learning more accessible to previously hard to reach groups.
- Each partner has a better understanding of assessment for learning based on competence models that support individualised learning.
- Each partner understands the way in which the underlying pedagogical principles of the INGOT model can be transferred to other subjects or occupational areas.
- Web site importance is rising as indicated by Google rank
- A wider range of people now have access to the web site resources as a result of translations.
- Volunteers have been drawn into the project to provide additional translations into German, Polish, Portuguese and Malay.
- We have an offer to translate to Brasillian Portuguese and US English
- Interest has been expressed by AQA one of the largest Awarding organisations in the UK responsible for 40% of GCSE and A levels and with a turnover in excess of 150 million Euros a year
- Regular enquiries from schools, colleges and training organisations across the world.
